Within the framework of the port development policy promoted by the State of Chile, Empresa Portuaria San Antonio invites specialized companies to express their interest in participating in the construction of the “Breakwater and Complementary Works of Puerto Exterior”.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
“Puerto Exterior” will be in the southern area of the San Antonio Port precinct, located in the City of San Antonio, Valparaíso Region, approximately 100 km from the city of Santiago.
In compliance with the regulations in force in the country, Empresa Portuaria San Antonio will develop the basic infrastructure -breakwater and complementary works- of “Puerto Exterior” and, subsequently, will tender the construction and operation, through the granting of port concessions to private parties, of each of the four port terminals contemplated in the project. The transfer capacity of “Puerto Exterior” will be 6 million TEUs per year, once all its phases have been completed.
DESCRIPTION OF THE BREAKWATER AND COMPLEMENTARY WORKS
The works to be considered in the expression of interest include the construction of a breakwater of approximately 4 kilometers in length, dredging around the future dock, filling of platforms and complementary works such as roads and railroad access to the terminals.
COMPANIES EXPRESSING INTEREST
Interested parties may be national and foreign companies, with proven experience in the development of large port works and/or marine dredging, being able to demonstrate such experience individually or as part of a consortium.
